Thank you for being patient over the colour. I had chosen something from a photo and then disliked it on our actual floor.
Seeing a sample saved me from a fairly expensive mistake. The warmer shade we settled on goes beautifully with the room, even with my mismatched furniture.

Nice people to deal with, didn't feel rushed when I was asking about looking after it afterwards.

Good job on the sitting room. They assessed the damaged planks before starting and explained which ones needed replacing.
The finished floor looks consistent, though you can pick out the replacements if you know where to look. That was expected. We understood what we were paying for and got the result discussed.

For a while I thought we'd bought a house with laminate flooring. Ryan had a look and confirmed it was engineered oak, with enough wood left to sand.
The grain in the lounge is lovely now. I'd got so used to covering the middle with a rug that it's nice to leave it visible.

Good job on the damaged plank by the desk. They looked at whether it could be repaired, then explained why replacement made more sense.
The new board fits well. There is a difference in grain, naturally, but the broken edge was much more noticeable than that.

A considerate service. I needed to understand which rooms we could reach while the work was happening, as our layout is awkward.
The arrangements were explained clearly and we managed without difficulty. The restored hardwood has a pleasant warmth to it and the surface feels smooth.

Thank you for taking such care with our dining room. The floor had been hidden for years and I was nervous about what would happen once the carpet came up.
Some blocks needed attention, but most were retained. It has been a pleasure seeing the room with its wooden floor again.

I remember this floor looking lovely when we first moved in, so seeing it restored has been a real pleasure. We'd gradually covered more of it as it became worn.
Now the carpet is gone and the wood looks warm again. Very glad we kept it.

I wanted the cause of the movement understood before spending money on the surface. Ryan assessed the affected boards and explained which could be securely refixed.
We agreed the work on that basis. The area feels firm now and the finishing has been handled carefully. It was useful to look over the repaired section together at the end, particularly where it joins the undisturbed floor.

You can see the oak again instead of that cloudy old coating. I hadn't realised quite how much it was hiding.
We chose a simple finish and I'm delighted with it, particularly in the part of the room where the light falls across the grain. It was definitely worth having someone assess it before we made plans to replace anything.

The floor was letting the rest of the dining room down. We'd painted, replaced the curtains and still it looked scruffy because of the boards.
Had them sanded and finished by Tames and it's pulled the room together nicely. There's an old dark mark near the wall that hasn't completely gone, but we knew that might happen. Doesn't bother me now the rest looks so much better.
